The T’bolis’ Conversion To Islam

When Islam came to the Philippines with traders during the 15th Century from Malaysia, it first took root in the islands of the Sulu archipelago and from there it spread to the main island of the South, Mindanao. In subsequent years it continued northward with the establishment of trading posts until the whole of Luzon, the main island of the North, was occupied and by the mid-16th century two sultanates were established. Many of the tribes throughout the Philippines willingly accepted Islaam.

Islamic Programme on IQRAA

 Arab Radio & Television [ART] NetworkDr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips started an Islaamic programme on March 10th, 2001 on the IQRAA satellite channel. The IQRAA channel is part of the Arab Radio & Television [ART] Network and is available in Europe (Hotbird), the Gulf (Arabsat), North Africa (Arabsat) and South Africa (PAS 7). Dr. Bilal's programme will be aired live every Saturday at 14:00 to 15:00 GMT.

Discover Islam

Discover Islam, also known as The Islamic Information Center, is a da'wah organization functioning as a branch of the Dar al-Bir Society. The center was started in 1994 in the Karamah area of Dubai, U.A.E. with Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips (Canadian) as the Director, Uthman Barry (British) as Office manager, and two daa'ees (field workers) Abdul Latief (Keralite) and Ahmad Abalos (Filipino). A year later Alia Montano (Filipino) was added for women's affairs.

Shariff Kabunsuan College (SKC)

Shariff Kabunsuan College Inc. is a fully accredited private academic institution of higher learning offering Associate, Bachelors and Masters degrees in the fields of Education, Business Administration, Agriculture, Secretarial Science and Criminology. It also offers a high school diploma from the high school connected with it. The college is officially classified as non-sectarian because students are not accepted solely on a religious basis.
