The Scholarship Programme was revived by Dr. Bilal Philips in the year 2001 from the United Arab Emirates. 10 students were selected for an examination and a final interview by the professors of the Shariff Kabunsuan College. Fortunately all the selected students passed the examinations and the interviews and thus they were all enrolled as Education Students under this Scholarship Grant. Dr. Bilal Philips with the help of the Malaysian circle and other Americans from the UAE as well as Saudi Arabia donated $9510 in June to start the first year of the program.
